Eland

I’m placing a visual in between the poems from time to time, just to make it easier on the eyes. If it bothers anybody, please feel free to tell me. This blog belongs to all members and you must please indicate what you like and what you don’t.

I took this photo yesterday about 25 km from where I stay. It’s amazing how there are patches of land all over the country where people conserve nature and wildlife. It gives one hope.  🙂

  1. I agree. TO me, there is poetry in things other than words. That’s why I am often hesitant to use the word, as it is often used in such a closed context.

At first I was angered by the tendency of many wealthy wine farmers to import and farm game on their “fallow” land. Saw it as a tourist snare – which no doubt it is. However, as conservation needs have become more pressing, I agree with your position now.

    • Hi Robin

Yes, some people see poetry in motion as well 🙂

I’m glad you agree with the idea of conserving game in various ways. It certainly is better than wanting to kill everything that moves – like the “Great Hunters” of the 19th century. I can just shake my head at that.

  2. Thanks Cin! 🙂

  3. I think it’s a great idea De Waal 🙂
